What is Kisima?
Hosted at Beneath the Baobabs in Kilifi, Kisima Festival is Kenya’s only transformational wellbeing festival. A four-day celebration of healing, creativity, and connection.
In Kiswahili, Kisima means “well”. A source of nourishment, reflection, and renewal. It’s a gathering space for community and a return to what truly sustains us.
Set within a breathtaking 50-acre baobab forest, Kisima offers holistic workshops, classes, talks, and panel discussions rooted in the five elements : Ignite, Inspire, Ground, Flow, and Ether. Explore all five throughout your journey and discover how they move within and around you.
But Kisima is more than a festival, it’s a portal. Rooted in African ancestral wisdom and rising with the pulse of a new earth, Kisima is where the soul of East Africa gathers to heal, dream, dance, and awaken.
Under the ancient baobabs, through music, movement, ritual, and radical expression, we remember what it means to belong to the land, to ourselves, and to each other.
In 2026, we journey into the theme of LOVE
Love as vibration, as medicine, as connection to all life.
Love that softens and strengthens, that heals and unites.
Together, we’ll explore the many forms of love : self-love, communal love, love for the Earth, and the love that moves through everything.
This is the well-being festival of the future: unapologetically African, wildly alive, and deeply unifying.

For a more elevated stay, we offer a limited selection of permanent accommodation, two cottages and four safari tents set within the grounds.
These spaces provide added comfort and privacy while keeping you immersed in the festival atmosphere.
A minimum stay of 4 nights applies. -
